Antiqua Smart, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, PHNA-BC, COI, FNAP, is a dual board-certified family nurse practitioner/psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner and board-certified advanced public health nurse through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also board-certified as a telemental health provider, certified online instructor, and certified telemedicine clinical presenter. Nurse Practitioner Smart has clinical expertise in the areas of maternal-newborn nursing, women's health, school-based health, college health, pediatrics/adolescent medicine, family medicine, pain management, psychiatry, addiction medicine, nurse-managed care, and telehealth/telemedicine, In addition to her role as a clinician, she also functions as a nurse educator, healthcare consultant, health policy advocate, and infopreneur.  As an academician, she has co-authored several chapters in nursing textbooks and published articles in peer-reviewed nursing journals. Currently, she serves as an Editorial Board Member for The Journal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Nurse Practitioner Antiqua Smart previously served as a board member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, where she held the positions of Health Policy Committee Member and Political Action Committee Co-Chair. She also previously served as a member of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties' Telehealth Committee, as Co-Chair of the Determinants of Health and Health Policy Education Special Interest Groups, and as Chair, respectively, and as a Medical Advisory Board Member for Nice Healthcare in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Nurse Practitioner Smart is also a member of several special interest groups within the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties, serves as the Chair of the Health Policy Education Special Interest Group, and is a Distinguished Nursing Practitioner Fellow of the National Academies of Practice.
